Beautiful post! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! 🙂

Thank you! Have a great and safe Thanksgiving as well! My daughters are scattered across the US but I was still able to tell them how much I missed them and wish them the best. I told them every time I have a chance to see them it’s Thanksgiving to me. 🙂 You want to raise independent children but the drawback to that is if you’ve done your job they are able to carry on their life very well with little help from Dad. Such is life. 🙂

You are so right. One of mine is already gone, and another leaves in the spring. I’ll still have two at home, but I know the time will fly more quickly than I’d like. Sigh. Hope you and your wife had a wonderful day!

We did. You are right about time flying… seems just like yesterday I was hiking the trails with one on my shoulders and the other up ahead chasing grasshoppers. If we could only bottle up moments like that and open it up once in a while to recapture that moment in time. Sometimes when you are in that moment you don’t realize how great it was until years go by. I better stop now.. I’ve got a tough old Pop image I have to maintain. Can’t let them see that I might have a hard exterior but I’m all gooey on the inside. LOL I’m sure I’m not fooling anybody anyways. 🙂

Ha! But how wonderful is that for your girls?! And this exchange just inspired a thought for a poem about children leaving home. Perhaps you’ll have an image that will be a match! 🙂

Can’t wait! Love your poems.. so many of them hit home. You bring back emotions with your words while I try to inspire some emotion in my images. 🙂

Aw, thanks! I feel the same about your photographs! I’m working on it now and will probably be ready to send it to you tomorrow. Then you can choose a photograph that you think captures the spirit of the message. 🙂
