Did you step behind the looking glass? This little creature is truly fantastic. 🙂 🙂

You’d think that but this guy is actual colors with minimal editing. About the only thing I did was make the background black and white and leave the moth in it’s natural state. After doing that I almost thought the moth was too bright but just decided to to leave him as I saw him. Definitely a moth that you would find in Wonderland. 🙂

That’s amazing! Love the subtle background. Not a subtle moth!

Thanks! It was a surprise to find such a colorful moth deep in the woods of Oklahoma. I’ve yet to see another one like it since. I at least got this shot as proof. 🙂

Thanks! Wish I could say I found bugs like this all the time but I’ve seen a moth like this once and haven’t found another one since. I’m envious of those that find all those colorful butterflies where I don’t seem to find but the same ones over and over again. Just keep looking and you’ll find your colorful bug soon enough. 🙂 Have a great day and may all your bugs be like rainbows!

Wow – can’t believe how beautiful these small creatures in the world is! And with regards to the quote, had it been my husband I would have given him a clear reminder of the fact on the day;)

That’s funny because I do ask for reminders which she gladly gives me as the occasion approaches. I can say in over 20 years I’ve only had one mishap in a missing occasion but do you think I get to ever forget that.. Nooooo! 🙂 You have a great day!

That is one colorful moth. So many moths are just as beautiful as butterflies.

You are right! Unfortunately I’ve never been able to find another one like this. I was just lucky to have my camera on me that day. 🙂 Moths are a lot easier to photograph than butterflies in my opinion. They usually stay put a lot longer and give you a lot better opportunity to get a decent shot.

I think this species lives off discarded battenburg cakes!

Or not have my camera with me! That’s when I usually see unusual creatures or objects. 🙂
