About

IMG_6721 (594x1024) (2)I live in eastern Oklahoma along the border of Arkansas and along the edge of the Ouachita Mountains which I mountain bike and hike every chance I get. Usually at my side can be found my trusty companion Paco and my Canon DSLR camera. I hope to use this blog to record and display some of the sights we encounter along the way. Perhaps others might glean a bit of information as well about the area and trails in this area. So buckle down your helmet, grab your pack and camera and enjoy the ride!

    • Thanks! You do as well! I love your urban photography. Mine are mostly nature related because I spend most of my time hiking or biking but I do enjoy the different kinds of shots you get in a city environment. Keep up the great work and thanks for stopping in.

      • Your mushroom pictures look so delicate, with a perfect light and softness. I repeat myself, it is gorgeous. I prefer nature related pictures, but I want to keep a memory of all my trips, including the city trips. But what I truly like are flowers and moss, and wild nature 😉

    • Thanks for the visit! Hiking and mountain biking are passions of mine and I always enjoy reading and seeing pictures from others with like interests. Unfortunately this time of the year hiking is sometimes a trying experience with the heat and humidity. Give me a cold crisp day! A lot of nice hiking areas around here.. especially in the northwest Arkansas region. Stay say and hike on!

  11. I envy you that you can take your dog with you. I’d wanted the same with my jack Russell but he just frightens off every animal or chases them. Good blog!

    • Thanks! I have to say that if I take Paco with me I rarely get to shoot wildlife (squirrels, deer, etc.) because he does run around a lot and chases everything he sees. He doesn’t seem to care about butterflies or dragonflies so he’s good with those. So I occasionally leave him at home especially during the summer months where he tends to get too hot but now that the cooler weather is kicking in I’m sure I won’t be allowed out the door without him wanting to join me. 🙂 Glad you enjoy the blog and I hope you have a great weekend! Stay safe!

    • Thanks for stopping by! I remember when I was in the Navy many years ago when I told them I was from Oklahoma all they envisioned was sweeping expanses of flat pastures and cows. Eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas has some of the prettiest forests and terrain in the US.. it just doesn’t get as much publicity as a lot of others. Have a great week!

    • I appreciate you stopping by and will definitely visit your page. As a fledgling photographer I love studying other peoples styles and viewpoints when it comes to photography. It really helps me try new things and to look at everything in the world from a different angle. Good luck and keep on shooting!
